SKMC Fall 2023 Race Updates
Southern Kettle Moraine Challenge
SKMC October 14th 2023
9 hour race and 4 1/2 hour race
UP DATE 10/10
HELLO RACERS
Well we are all set at our end,
are you ready ????
OH NO !!! It might be cool
and some rain ? Well that
never scared an Adventure Racer,
Adventure racers are tough as
thorns in your face and stones
in your shoes :)
There are some good things
about cool wet weather, No bugs,
and no bonking from sweating.
Question was asked about the
9 hour race and whether or not
we would still Mt bike if it rains?
Well we will not know for sure
until Saturday and it will be a
DNR decision.
The weathermen are only 50
percent accurate these days :)
BUT all 9 hour
racers will need to bring their
Mt bikes regardless .
Remember , 4 hour racers will
be just road biking and can
bring either road or mt bikes,
but 9 hour racers must bring
their Mt bikes. Thank You
A few notes for beginners,
wear a rain top and bottom
for both the bike and the
woods. Its ok if they are not
bright colors as long as
you have that rear bike
light
Wear warm clothes
underneath and a warm hat
under your bike helment.
Maybe 2 pairs of gloves and
most important , a dry map
case or even a big ziplock.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE COMING
TO THE NAV CLINIC, WE WILL
BE BOTH INSIDE AND OUT
SO DRESS FOR BOTH
