Wisconsin Adventure Racing Society

presents the:

Southern Kettle Moraine Challenge

 SKMC

Hello Everybody

NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR, ANDY MCCARTHY 2026

I have met some amazing people in the last 25

years and have some great memories.  I started

racing myself around the year 2000 and started

directing races around the year 2001.  I think I

have directed around 30 some races, sometimes

2 a year along with a few winter races and a

few Rogaines. Sadly, I will no longer be hosting

Adventure races however I may host and direct

a few Rogaines in the future.   I want to thank

All of you who came out to patronize my races

and those who came out to challenge themselves

to my courses!  Even though Directing races is

a ton of work, i really did enjoy putting them on,

esp. field checking and making nav maps.

I want to thank all the people who came out

to help me put these races on!  I always say I

am capable of putting in the work throughout the

year to design and plan a race but come race

day, its the volunteers who help make it happen,

and I always had some GREAT volunteer help!

You will probably still see me around , I may be

one of the volunteers or I may actually try to

get my old body out there to race with you

youngsters , I really do like this sport !

There are still plenty of awesome adventure

races out there.  Please visit the Wisconsin

Adventure Racing Series website for some

quality races.

I will put the word out the next time I host and

direct a Rogaine in the future but for now....

THANK YOU ALL !!!      ANDY
